We live in a 16th century hall house, which has undergone several changes over the centuries. It was built by the Manor of Wakefield, 500 foot above the damp floor of the valley, as a "branch office" for cattle rearing. Over time, a floor and internal wall have been added. Next came an 18th century addition. Finally we added a studio apartment in 2007.
