RUG MATERIALS

Washed fleece

Our wool is obtained from a variety of sources. We have been

using local Lleyns but now have access to fleece from Border and Blue-faced Leicesters, Merinos, black Wensleydales, Jacob's and Zwartbles. When dyeing, we use Australian Landscape dyes.

Washed fleece is available in 200 gm bags, undyed or in a range of colours.

Jumbo rolags are produced on a drum carder and are packed into bags of 8 rolags. They are usually available as natural colours and in a wide range of dyed colours.

Chunky yarn

This is used to anchor the ends of the rug and as intermediate stabilising bands throughout the length of the rug.

We can also supply cotton warp yarn in natural and a limited range of colours.
